Module 10 – Worksheet 1: Our Family Constellation
Every family is a unique and beautiful universe of love and connection. Some families have lots of people living under one roof, while others have loved ones spread out across cities or even countries. This activity is a fun way to draw a picture of everyone who makes your family feel like home. There are no rules, only love!
What You’ll Need:
- A large piece of paper
- Colorful pens, crayons, or markers
Let’s Create Our Constellation!
Step 1: Find Your Center (Your Home) In the very middle of the paper, draw a picture of everyone (and every pet!) who lives in your home. This is the heart of your constellation!
Step 2: Draw Your Stars (Your Extended Circle) Now, think about all the other important people in your life. Grandparents? Aunts and uncles? Cousins? Best friends who feel like family? Draw each one as a star or a little planet all around your home base. Write their names next to them!
Step 3: Connect with Lines of Love Use colorful lines to connect your “home” to each of your “stars.” You can use different colors for different feelings!
- Maybe a bright yellow line for fun and laughter.
- A warm red line for hugs and love.
- A calm blue line for people who make you feel safe.
Step 4: Give It a Title! At the top of your drawing, write a special name for your unique family constellation. (e.g., “The Smith Family Universe,” “Our Circle of Love”).
Let’s Talk About Our Universe
After you finish your masterpiece, look at it together and chat about these questions:
- Look at your beautiful drawing! Who is the farthest star? How can we make sure they feel our love this week?
- Which person has the most colorful connection line? What makes that relationship so special?
- Is there anyone new we forgot? Let’s add them to our constellation! Our universe can always grow.
