✨ Introduction
When was the last time you felt joy that wasn’t about someone else’s happiness?
Many parents lose touch with their own sources of pleasure—creativity, movement, connection—because “there’s no time.” But joy is not optional. It’s fuel.
Let’s reconnect with what lights you up, so that joy can ripple into your parenting, too.
1. Think back to a time you felt truly alive.
It doesn’t have to be recent. Maybe it was a hobby, a moment in nature, or time with a friend.
🖊️ Describe that memory with as much detail as you can:
2. What were the ingredients that made it joyful?
Think beyond the event—was it freedom? Creativity? Laughter? Connection?
🖊️ Name the 2–3 key elements you miss most right now:
3. What brings you micro-joy today?
These are small things that take little time but bring lightness.
🖊️ Make a list of things—big or tiny—that make you smile, laugh, or exhale:
4. What’s one joyful act you can schedule this week, just for you?
Not for your child. Not to be productive. Just because it feeds you.
🖊️ Describe it, and write down when and how you’ll do it:
🌀 Visual Reflection (optional)
Draw a small sun. Inside it, write 3 “rays of joy” you want to bring into your daily or weekly rhythm.

✅ This exercise reminds us: when a parent reconnects with their own spark, the whole family benefits. You don’t need permission to feel joy—it’s part of what makes you resilient and whole.
