✨ Introduction
In the middle of chaos, stress, or fatigue, one of the most powerful things you can do is pause — not to fix everything, but to catch your breath.
This pause doesn’t need to be long. It just needs to be yours.
In this exercise, you’ll design 3–5 “playful pauses” you can return to during the day — tiny things that reset your nervous system and refill your cup.
1. What usually prevents you from taking breaks or asking for space?
(e.g., guilt, habits, lack of time, fear of being selfish)
🖊️ Be honest — what’s your inner resistance to pausing?
2. When you do feel most refreshed or grounded, what are you doing?
Think small: a walk, a favorite song, laughing with someone, dancing, breathing deeply…
🖊️ List a few moments that naturally help you reset:
3. What does a “playful pause” mean to you?
Not productive. Not perfect. Just something that brings a smile or calm — for 1–3 minutes.
🖊️ Describe the feeling or activity:
🛠️ Your Playful Pause Menu
Create a personal list of micro-rituals to reach for during stress, transitions, or long days.
These should take no more than 5 minutes and feel like you.
🖊️ Write 3–5 ideas below (and post this page somewhere visible):

🌀 Visual Reflection (optional)
Draw a circle or clock and place your “playful pause” ideas around it — like anchors in your day.
You can mark which ones help in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

✅ This exercise supports the course’s theme of self-regulation through play and joy. You don’t need a vacation. You need a pause. And it can start with a smile.
